Tim Wells Takes Oath as Texas Attorney; Retired Justice Elizabeth Lang-Miers Presides Over Ceremony
November 15, 2022 by Brown Fox
Justice Elizabeth Lang-Miers, formerly Justice of the Fifth District Court of Appeals and now a partner at Locke Lord, graciously administered the oath to Brown Fox Associate Tim Wells. The Brown Fox Dallas team, along with Mr. Wells’ family, joined the solemn and exciting occasion.
The oath administered to a new Texas attorney includes the following promises: “I . . . do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitutions of the United States, and of this state; that I will honestly demean myself in the practice of law; that I will discharge my duties to my clients to the best of my ability; and that I will conduct myself with integrity and civility in dealing and communicating with the court and all parties. So help me God.”
Brown Fox Managing Partner Russ Brown shared, “I’m thrilled that Tim is beginning his practice learning from attorneys who take this oath seriously, adhere to the firm’s core values, and abide by the Texas Lawyer’s Creed. Tim has a very bright future and we’re thrilled he’s with us.” The Texas Lawyer’s Creed and Brown Fox’s core values can be found here and here. Mr. Wells is a litigation associate in the Dallas office.
