Brown Fox was pleased to continue its support of the Northern District of Texas Bench Bar Conference in 2023. The Dallas and Fort Worth chapters of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) hosted the sixth annual conference on April 14 in Las Colinas. The host committee was co-chaired by associate Alan Carrillo, who has served on the FBA Dallas chapter board since January 2021. Partner Cort Thomas, who chaired the inaugural bench bar conference in 2017, continues to serve on the FBA Dallas chapter board. Several members of the firm also attended the conference, including Brian Robison, Charlene Koonce, Margaret Mead, Morgan Buller, Andrew Debter, and Tim Wells.

Brown Fox was honored to be one of several law firm sponsors of the second annual Northern District of Texas Law Clerk Reunion, held the evening before the conference. Mr. Thomas and Mr. Carrillo, who both clerked for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas in Dallas, attended the reunion on behalf of the firm. Mr. Thomas served as a term law clerk to U.S. District Judge Jane J. Boyle from 2010 to 2011, and Mr. Carrillo served as an inaugural term law clerk to U.S. District Judge Brantley Starr from 2019 to 2020.
