McKay is a first-chair trial attorney with two decades of experience. Her practice is focused on employment and commercial litigation, but she is well-versed on issues such as fraud, licensing, trade secrets, and products liability. Her wide range of clientele spans numerous industries, including hospitality, healthcare, banking, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and medical device, aviation, construction, technology, and manufacturing. McKay also enhances the firm’s In the Community focus, serving on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County, as a member of Junior League of Collin County, and as a graduate of Leadership Frisco. She earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from Pepperdine University. McKay began her career practicing in California and continues to actively practice in both Texas and California.

Strain also brings first-chair trial experience to the firm, with a focus on labor and employment disputes, premises liability, breach of contract, construction, real estate, and probate and estate litigation. He earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law.

Both attorneys have called Frisco home for many years, with McKay basing her practice in Collin County for the past seven years. Brown Fox Managing Partner Russ Brown shared, “Brandi and Jon bring an instant 1-2 punch of talent and regional presence. The sky is the limit for the Collin County office and its gifted group of attorneys.” McKay added, “I am excited to work with all the Brown Fox attorneys who prioritize character, community and client relationships. Collin County has been my home for more than a decade and I look forward to joining my new colleagues in leading Brown Fox’s growth in the region.”
