Nine Brown Fox Attorneys Named 2027 Best Lawyers

Best Lawyers selections are based entirely on peer review following nominations by lawyers or clients. Michael Baum: Litigation – Labor & Employment. This marks Baum’s seventh Best Lawyers honor. His practice focuses on executive terminations, non‐competition and employment agreements, theft of trade secrets, tortious interference with contracts, breach of fiduciary duties, and breach of contract.
Russ Brown: Employment Law – Management. Best Lawyers has recognized Brown three times. He co-founded Brown Fox sixteen years ago and serves as Brown Fox’s Managing Partner. His practice involves quarterbacking firmwide representation of clients and representation of businesses and executives, with a focus on labor & employment matters. He has also been recognized by Super Lawyers, D Magazine, and the Dallas Business Journal.
Alan Carrillo: “Ones to Watch” – Commercial Litigation. Carrillo focuses his practice on commercial litigation, advocating for clients in both state and federal courts.
Jenny DePonte: Employment Law – Management. Recognized for the fourth time, DePonte counsels clients on OSHA compliance, investigations, and employment litigation, and has been honored by Super Lawyers and D Magazine. She is board-certified in both trial and labor and employment law.
Samuel Fubara: “One to Watch” – Corporate Law. Honored for the fifth year in a row, Fubara focuses on corporate and transactional law, mergers & acquisitions, and private equity matters.
Charlene Koonce: Litigation – Regulatory Enforcement (SEC, Telecom, Energy). Koonce is an AV-rated, seasoned trial and appellate attorney who prosecutes and defends commercial disputes, serves as appellate counsel, and periodically represents receivers in government enforcement cases. Eric Wood: Litigation – Labor & Employment.
