Tim Wells Returns to Brown Fox After Federal Clerkship in Fort Worth

Tim Wells recently rejoined Brown Fox in its newly opened Fort Worth office after completing a federal clerkship with the Honorable Chief Judge Reed O’Connor in the Fort Worth Division of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Wells first joined Brown Fox as an associate in 2022. His prior time with Brown Fox, along with his connections and residence in Fort Worth, made Wells a natural fit to help Brown Fox launch its presence in Fort Worth.

In addition to Wells’ time with Brown Fox and as a federal judicial law clerk, he previously served as a judicial intern for both the Honorable Brantley Starr (Northern District of Texas) and the Honorable Robert J. Humphreys (Virginia Court of Appeals), and as a Special Litigation Law Clerk with the Texas Attorney General. He co-owned and operated a large farm in Mount Pleasant, Texas before deciding to pursue a second career as a lawyer.

Wells is the firm’s fourth active attorney who previously served as a federal law clerk, in addition to Cort Thomas for the Honorable Jane J. Boyle, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas in Dallas, Alan Carrillo for the Honorable Brantley Starr, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas in Dallas, and Chase Cobb for the Honorable Judge Sean D. Jordan for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in Plano.
