Joshua Mahaffey brings a wealth of real-world, corporate experience to his client engagements. Prior to practicing law Mr. Mahaffey spent over twenty years in the transportation and logistics industry, with an emphasis on risk management. He often engaged and collaborated with attorneys on a wide range of legal issues, including litigation, mergers & acquisitions, risk management, and corporate and contractual needs. Mr. Mahaffey became an in-house attorney with his long-time employer before joining Brown Fox. This unique blend of experience equipped Mr. Mahaffey with an invaluable appreciation of clients’ needs from the lens of risk manager, experienced corporate leader, and in-house counsel.
As an in-house attorney in the transportation industry, Mr. Mahaffey has gained experience in corporate law, litigation, labor and employment, and trucking litigation.
Mr. Mahaffey understands the importance of practicality in the face of daily challenges through providing organized, dependable, and timely advice and balancing the trade-off between risk and reward.
Of all the diplomas and degrees I’ve earned, the most rewarding was from high school. The International Baccalaureate curriculum is by far one of the most difficult and life changing programs I’ve ever endured, paving the way for foundations of self-discipline and organization as well as a lifelong passion for learning.
International travel has always been something my family has enjoyed together. From Hawaii to Iceland, we’re always looking for fun destinations to make great memories together.
As the saying goes, “Fortune Favors the Bold.” Running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain with my brother was an ultimate bucket list item I’m proud to scratch off. Ask me about Dead Man’s Corner some day!
