Joshua Smeltzer Featured on Texas State Bar’s Civil Tax Enforcement and Penalties Panel

The State Bar of Texas invited Brown Fox tax partner Joshua Smeltzer to speak at its upcoming Tax Law 2020: A Practical Guide to Tax Law in the Real World conference. Mr. Smeltzer brings sixteen years of tax expertise to the event, with years of valuable experience representing both the U.S. government, and more recently, businesses and individuals. He will present on the Civil Tax Enforcement and Penalties panel, sharing his knowledge of privilege issues in tax disputes.

Joshua D. Smeltzer is a tax attorney with over sixteen years of experience representing individuals, corporations, receiverships and formerly the U.S. Government in a variety of tax matters. Mr. Smeltzer uses the first-hand knowledge gained inside the government to both advise and represent clients before and during IRS examinations and when defending tax positions at IRS Appeals or in federal court.
