Joshua Smeltzer Admitted to Esteemed Texas Bar College

This month the Texas Bar College formally recognized Brown Fox tax partner Joshua Smeltzer as a member of its esteemed College. Managing Partner Russ Brown shared, “This honor is par for the course with Joshua. He is a diligent attorney who does an incredible job staying up to date on the nuances and changes in tax law on a daily basis.” Mr. Brown added, “That dedication and attention to detail has translated to incredible client service and tax advice and advocacy for our clients.”
Joshua D. Smeltzer is a tax attorney with over fifteen years of experience representing individuals, corporations, and formerly the U.S. Government in a variety of tax matters. Mr. Smeltzer uses the knowledge gained inside the government to represent and advise clients on potential tax risks, navigating the IRS labyrinth during audit examinations, arguing at the IRS Office of Appeals, and litigation in the federal courts. He also advises individual and corporate clients on a variety of tax compliance issues to avoid tax disputes from occurring. Joshua prides himself on his ability to clearly explain complex tax issues in an understandable way so that clients can make effective decisions.
The Texas Bar College, the only organization in the United States formed for this purpose, is an honorary society of lawyers, chartered by the Supreme Court of Texas in 1981, to recognize and encourage lawyers who maintain and enhance their professional skills and the quality of their service to the public by completing at least double the required hours of continuing legal education each year. The College also sponsors or otherwise assists in educational activities of significant merit and widespread relevance and applicability to the legal profession.
