Sports teach us teamwork, perseverance, handling victory and defeat, and making sacrifices, all of which I have tried to instill in my daughters. As I have aged and left my glory years behind me, I have gladly become an avid fan and spectator.

My grandfather flew a B-24 bomber in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was my hero and taught me about faith, humility and service.

The globe reminds me of my childhood and how my experiences and relationships around the world molded me into the person that I am today. It also serves as the motivation to take my family to see the places where I grew up.
