I have been passionate about the sport of ice hockey as a fan and player for as long as I can recall. I still play the game and it has taught me many lessons about sacrifice, teamwork and work ethic that I can bring to bear on all aspects of my life. The game has given me more than I could ever imagine.
I was born in Chicago and grew up in the City, not leaving it until I went to law school at Georgetown in Washington, D.C. After law school I returned to Chicago for my first job as an attorney, so the City and its citizens molded me both as a person and as a professional. I am extremely proud of my home town and thus appreciate the pride Texans have in this great State.
I have been fortunate to have won many cases during my career, including many trials and appeals, including one before the Texas Supreme Court. I have also been fortunate to have won many games and some league titles playing on some very good hockey teams. No award means more to me than this trophy my three children gave me one Father’s Day, which is my favorite holiday.
